Complete Shiatsu Treatment No 1-2-3-4

Full Body Treatment


Seated Postion for Neck and Shoulders








1. Have the receiver assume a seated position, either on
the floor or in a chair. From behind, take hold of the arms just below the shoulders and lift up and down, loosening the shoulders. This also relaxes the nerves.










2. Knead the shoulders, with the thumbs pressing the large muscles across the top of the back. Move from the inside toward the out­side. This quickly softens stiff shoulders.











3 pound the shoulders with the sides of the hands or fists, releasing tension (illustrations 3a and 3b).










4. Press the large muscles on the side of the neck with the thumb. Press from beneath the ear to the shoulder. One hand holds the forehead slightly pushing the head back­wards, while the other hand presses the neck. Do both sides of the neck by moving to the other side of the body and use the other hand. This loosens up the neck.
