Kidney stones are a vital health concern for millions of people across the world. It is a problem that can come to any person at any age. It is remarkably highly painful ailment that is getting common these days.

It can be said that due to the changing life style or the
dietary habits, the problems like kidney stones is gaining popularity. Kidney stones are termed as one of the most painful human disorder that needs immediate attention. A kidney stone is a solid piece of material that forms in the kidney out of substances in the urine. A stone may stay in the kidney or break loose and travel down the urinary tract.

A small stone may pass all the way out of the body without causing too much pain. Acupressure is a technique in which the treatment is given to the patient without any medicines. This therapy believes that there are pressure points of the entire body, applying pressure on them by the specialists cure ailments. It is also termed as pressure therapy in which gentle pressure is applied on the points located on the body mostly the points are on feet and hands. Massaging an acupressure point will help relieve symptoms as well as strengthen your body. Specific pressure points are recommended for treatment of different disorders.

There are different points for different disease but mostly every disease can be cured by applying pressure on the particular point for a particular time period. Kidney stones affect mostly young and middle-aged adults in their 20s to 40s. While they are more common in men, the number of cases of kidney stones in women has been increasing. Once you have had one or two stones, you have an increased chance of developing more. When administering acupressure, work the right- and left-side points at the same time whenever possible (if it’s not, work one side first and then the other). Using your fingers or thumbs, apply threshold pressure to the points.

This is firm pressure that is just on the verge of being painful; the point is stimulated but the body doesn’t tighten up or retract from the pain.It is a “good hurt” feeling; a bit pain is felt during the treatment. Apply from one to three minutes of continuous threshold pressure until the pain is relieved. Or apply pressure for ten seconds, release for ten seconds, apply pressure again for ten seconds, and release again; repeat this sequence ten times. Acupressure treats the disease from the initial stage while in severe cases surgical removal of the stones is the only solution.
