The area from the shoulder level down to the bottom of the shoulder blade refers to the lungs and heart.
Have the receiver lie on the back. Press down the center of the chest on the sternum (breast bone) using the thumb. Use the other four fingers and gently massage the chest muscles. The area in front of the shoulder specifically energizes the lungs. Press here with the thumb, holding the acupoints around the outline of the shoulder for 3-5 seconds.

Ginger Compress
Compresses applied directly to either the front of the body on the chest, or the back on the shoulder blade area, will affect the lungs. Replace compress when it cools down, about every 30 seconds. Repeat this until lung area becomes red, about 15-20 minutes.
