The prostate gland in the male is about the size of a large walnut. It lies below the bladder, surrounding the urethra, and is made up of glands, tubes, and muscle. The prostate secretes a fluid which mingles with the secretion of the testes. When the prostate becomes enlarged, it obstructs the urethra and causes retention of urine.
Diet
A diet high in fat, protein, sugar, and coffee will enlarge the prostate. This is a very common occurrence in men past the age of 45. Acupressure treatment is aimed at reducing the size of the prostate and increasing overall body strength.
It is best to avoid the fatty animal foods such as beef, poultry, cheese, milk, and eggs. Not only animal food, but also sugar, honey, chocolate, and all sugary foods should be discontinued. All stimulants including mustard, pepper, curry, mint, peppermint, spices, alcohol, and coffee should be avoided. All vegetables and fruits that cause a swelling effect should be avoided. These include potato, tomato, eggplant, and tropical fruits.
The standard macrobiotic diet should be followed. Dried shiitake mushrooms cooked with carrots or daikon can be eaten frequently. One or two tablespoons of grated fresh raw daikon or carrot also can be used several times per week as a condiment at meals.
Shiatsu
Have the receiver lie face down. Press the acupoints near the spine on the lower hip region. Repeat this several times. Massage the bottoms of the feet with the thumbs vigorously. Massage up the inside of the legs.
Moxibustion
Heat applied to acupoints CV 3, CV 6, SP 6, KD 3 will bring rapid relief for difficulty in passing urine. Prostate pain is alleviated after 1-5 weeks of consistently eating the macrobiotic diet. It definitely is worth the effort of making the necessary changes in eating.

I am sure that prostate pain will cease with this diet. After five or six weeks of this diet one will be so emaciated, week and desirous of a prompt death that one will effectively forget any previous problems with the prostate.
