Ear acupressure point hypothalamus

Ear acupressure is only about 50 years old. Paul Nogiers a neurlogist from Lyons, France became involved with this discovery when a woman entered his office one day in the early 1950s. She said she had back pain for years. Dr. Nogiers said perhaps he could help her. She remarked "No. I had back pain for years but is was cured by a woman in the Middle East. She burnt my ear and the pain has been gone since." Dr Nogiers scientific curiosity was aroused as he saw a scar on her ear. From that acupressure ear point he searched for other areas on the ear that might relieve ailments and discovered that the ear has points communicating with the in Germany a lecture on the subject. A Chinese contingency photographed his slides and they pursued the subject by using the Red army as subjects. They developed a map of the ear which we present here in our website. Dr Nogiers published many works on the subject and recently died at the age of 88.

In 1972 a Japanese physician, Dr. Y. Omura began a detoxification program at Lincoln Hospital in New York City to see if acupressure could remove the cocaine withdrawals. Indeed it worked and Dr. Michael Smith and others followed his work for that treatment. As a side affect, Dr. Omura found that many of his addicted patients had quit smoking and many also lost weight. This lead to the use of acupressure to help people quit smoking and lose weight.

Our second picture shows points that you can use for pain relief or other ailments. All you have to do is touch the area with a heavy duty paper clip for 3 minutes and you should see a response.Perhaps you notice basketball coaches frantically rubbing their ears when they are in a tense game. Or note how your significant other may become aroused as you nibble on his or her ear.
The subject is quite complex and there are many points. At least it gets you stated. There are many acupressurists that even use the ear exclusively to solve problems.

You can find some important ear acupressure points for hypothalamus in this site. ear acupressure points hypothalamus

Acupressure OCD(Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)

EFT is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments for over five thousand years, but without the invasiveness of needles. Instead, simple tapping with the fingertips is used to input kinetic energy onto specific meridians on the head, face and chest while you think about your specific problem - whether it is a traumatic event, an addiction, pain, etc. - and voice positive affirmations. This combination of tapping the energy meridians and voicing positive affirmation works to clear the "short-circuit" the emotional block from your body's bioenergy system, thus restoring your mind and body's balance, which is essential for optimal health and the healing of physical disease.

When you read this page, most of you will be skeptical. That is normal, because this healing method is contrary to most people's belief systems. If someone told you 20 years ago that you can order any product or service without a phone, without leaving your house, that you can talk with people from all over the world, without a phone, without leaving your house, you would have been skeptical too, correct?

However, since the advent of the Internet, your skepticism of the above quickly vanished. So it can with EFT. It will make a difference in your life! Just give it a chance. The earth was round before people figured out it was round. Same with EFT. EFT has always been possible and has been known of being used for the last 5000 years. Whether you believe in it or not: it will work, provided you do it right, of course.

That means, you need to spend some time learning how to do it. Since I compiled the most important aspects of EFT on this page, it may take you less time, but even if not, isn't it worth spending a few hours of your life learning a healing technique for almost anything? A healing technique that costs nothing, has no side effects and is pain free? Imagine how many hours you spend at doctors, psychiatrists, reading drug instructions, etc. Way more that a few hours, and the results are usually not permanent and the treatments are painful and often include side effects. With EFT treatment is permanent and pain free, plus there are NO side effects!

EFT is an emotional version of acupuncture, except we don't use needles. Instead, we stimulate the meridians by tapping on them with our fingertips. EFT is an obvious extension of Einstein's discovery in the 1920's that all matter, including the human body, is composed of energy. We're not sure why this works so well. Perhaps you can help with the explanation after you experience it.

EFT often provides surprising results for OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). The benefits are two fold: First, just performing the mechanical application of EFT usually collapses the immediate need to perform the behavior. This is a big help, but is usually temporary. However, in a few cases this simple procedure also collapses the entire compulsive behavior. Second, EFT's long term successes are due to its ability to address the true cause of most compulsions ... namely ... the need to "tranquilize" anxiety caused by unresolved emotional issues. Until one's underlying anger, fear, guilt, trauma, etc. are dissipated, the compulsive behavior will remain. EFT is ideally designed to collapse these issues (that is what it does best) and, properly applied, the need to tranquilize disappears. And with it goes the compulsion. It should be evident that compulsions, addictions, eating disorders and weight issues have similar emotional causes.

EFT blends perfectly with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because it helps bring up the issues faster and creates more (and deeper) Cognitive Shifts behind the scenes. EFT works like hypnotherapy but adds extra power to the process because it integrates the body's subtle energies. EFT works like talk therapy with the advantage that it allows us to get to the issues faster and resolve them more thoroughly. Finally, EFT works better than SSRI's or other drugs, because it addresses the root cause of OCD and anxiety disorders.

Please note: EFT for OCD is not a quick fix. The techniques need to be applied several times over a period of time, depending on the severity. Also, if you are not familiar enough with EFT and you have severe OCD, you should consider getting help form a EFT professional

Acupressure point for drug addict

Acupressure treatment for drug addiction is a rather controversial therapy but one that is receiving more attention than ever. It appears that there are various benefits for addicts who try acupressure. However, this therapy may not work for everyone. And, not everyone should even try it. For example, an addict who experiences severe needle phobia may not want to use this therapy. For needle phobes, acupressure is a great alternative. Acupressure is just like acupuncture but it does not require the insertion of needles. Rather, it uses pressure that does not puncture the skin to stimulate the points.

Another reason many people seek acupressure is for relief from pain. Acupressure can release endorphins which make a person feel a sense of physical and mental well being. This can be helpful for addicts dealing with the emotional effects of withdrawal. The average acupressure session takes approximately 45 minutes. During this time, thin needles are inserted into strategic locations and left there for the duration of the session, after which they are carefully removed. While it may take repeated sessions to reach full results, some people experience benefits from the very first session.

There was a study published in 1989 which appeared in the British journal The Lancet which stated the effectiveness of acupressure for treating alcoholism. It appeared that the acupressure helped alleviate withdrawal symptoms and help the body detox more efficiently. Whether or not this effect was a placebo or not was not determined. It is true that many people seek acupressure for the purposes of bodily detoxification. It is thought that the strategic placement of needles can accelerate a sluggish metabolism and help the body flush out impurities.

Little is known at this time about the efficiency of acupuncture treatment for drug addiction. This is because until the 1970s, acupuncture was practically unheard of in the United States. Although acupressure is widely practiced in the US these days, it is rarely used for addiction. This may be because many addicts just aren't interested in trying this therapy and therefore do not seek it. However, there is much to point towards its effectiveness. Many addicts who do try acupressure may find relief when they combine this form of Eastern medicine with traditional treatments like counseling, AA meetings and Western medicine.

The use of plants as medicine is common to many cultures, and a number of advanced pharmaceutical drugs were derived from plants. Not just herbalists but naturopaths, homeopathic, Ayurvedic, Chinese, and Native American medical practitioners all use herbs as one component in an overall system of medicine. For example, Chinese medicine practitioners may use herbal formulas, acupuncture, meditation, and massage techniques simultaneously. Chinese herbs are frequently used in combination to provide a tonic for general health or to try to fight a specific pathogen or condition. Herbs have been used extensively in hopes of improving immune response and reducing symptoms. Aloe vera, St. Johnswort, echinacea, licorice, and ginseng are just a few of the herbs used to treat HIV/AIDS.
